Quick question guys

If you were to upgrade exhaust systems, then the active sound would not match the "real sound" is that correct?

Active sound is precoded into the system right? And I would assume it matches the stock exhaust note, Right?

Does this sound weird, is it noticeable? I know that it can be coded and turned off.

If you upgrade your exhaust, you need to code out the active sound.
It would not make sense to keep it since your exhaust is now louder.

I wouldn't code ASD off because it can be quite helpful at times. For instance, my exhaust is straight from the turbo back, and I'm not going to lie, but it does drone a bit @ 80 MPH. However I was on the highway the other day and I noticed something. I noticed my car droned WAAAAY more in Comfort and Eco Pro than it did in Sport and it finally came to me as to why it was the case. The ASD acts as a form of destructive resonance (Ex. Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones) and cancels out a lot more drone. So in my case, it helps keep my exhaust a bit more tolerable.

I think asd actually integrate well with an aftermarket exhaust.

Aftermarket exhaust only enhance the sound as well it doesn't change it.

AWE-Tuning exhaust and midpipe here. No drone and I find active sound is now a supplement to the exhaust sound instead of the primary audible source.

I have no plans to deactivate it, I actually quite enjoy the combo.
