M235i Straight through exhaust

Yesterday, a buddy of mine was able to help me put in my catless DP and
JB4, and the results have insane. The install for the downpipe took us about 3 1/2 hours to put everything in since we had to put the car on ramps instead of a lift. Keep in mind, I have a muffler and resonator delete so it is now straight through. First start up after was pretty nice and it is DEFINITELY more vocal yet I thought it was still somewhat tame. Then I had cold start this morning. Now to give you all an idea as to what to compare the cold start volume with, I also have a LS1 swapped Mazda RX7 FC with a 296/293 cam in it, and I would say it is just about equally as loud on cold start lol. Once the first 30 seconds are done with though, it isn't too bad. On the street driving mildly it isn't too bad as far as volume goes, and believe it or not, it doesn't seem to drone hardly at all. Under WOT, it sounds like it eats small children and pets if they are close by lol. Within the first 2 minutes of driving it on the street after the install, I had 2 cars tell me how great the car sounded, and its hard to disagree with them lol. Ill try and post some videos as soon as I can to give you guys an idea as to what its like!

Most folks don't like these cars with straight pipes, it sounds a bit raw and unrefined.

You're entitled to do what you like and as long as you like it that's all that matters.

That surprisingly isn't as loud as I thought it would be. Sounds great though!

I live with mine everyday and I wouldn't say that it's TOO loud other than cold start. Cold start is ridiculous but it's only 30 seconds of my day.
