Why I buy Dinan
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let you know a good experience I had with Dinan recently, one that has made me happy with buying their products. I bought Dinan springs for my M235i awhile back and had them installed by a local performance shop. Love the springs but they were a bit expensive compared to the other options. After about 3000 miles my drivers side strut mount bearing went bad which caused it to click loudly when turning the wheel. The BMW dealership refused to pay for the strut mount repair because of the Dinan springs installed in the car. I asked several local BMW dealerships and they all refused to even see the car until it was put back to stock. Obviously I was a little peeved. I sent Dinan an email explaining the situation and the next day they responded and agreed to pay for the repair since BMW was not willing to. This is part of the Dinan warranty I guess. I didn't know about this. They were so easy and awesome to work with and the cost of the repair (nearly $1000 for both mounts) was reimbursed pretty much right away. Really impressive! This type of warranty and service convinced me to go ahead with the intake, exhaust and stage 2 tune from Dinan. I think the premium you pay for Dinan is worth it as they are willing to back you up when something goes wrong. I don't work for Dinan or have any relationship with them, I just thought it was a great experience that should be shared. |

Glad everything worked out and good to hear Dinan stepped up, cool feedback.
They ever come up with a cause for the failure? How are you enjoying Stage II ?

No cause for failure unfortunately. Just wore out prematurely I guess? I don't track the car or drive it hardly much at all actually hahah. I haven't bought the rest of the Dinan parts yet, but will soon!

It's easier if you go to a BMW dealer that's also a Dinan dealer... that way one or the other will take care of it and you don't have to take your car to 5 different places

This has been happening often even with stock springs. My car has developed the clicking, and my suspension is bone stock at 13k miles. Car is going into the dealer soon. But yeah, I would have fought the dealer on it more, since this is actually common enough on stock cars.

This is a problem with the stock cars as said in previous comment. Had mine repaired at the BMW dealer at no charge, doubt the springs had anything to do with it.

I want to go with Dinan parts in terms of performance only because of warranty but DAMN it is such a high price to pay compared to other options
Edit: So much so that I am probably going to stay stock because I don't want to take any risks with warranty |
