M235i JB4 map 6 settings

I was wondering if someone could post Jb4 map 6 settings that have worked for them?
I have a mostly stock M235i 6 speed manual
the only mods are:
jb4
muffler delete (downpipe and resonator are all stock) Just muffler delete

Do logs on Map 5 and copy the boost targets. Raise them as up go until you get timing corrections.

Though, I think you're much better off with Map 1 or 2 with those mods. You might be wasting the effort.

Probably map 1 would be the best for just a muffler delete.

Maps 2/5/6 are really only of benefit with a sport cat or decat.

Don't think it would do any harm per se, but probably no need to be setting boost targets until you're FBO. Even then every car is a little different, so one size fits all solution may not be available.

When you say timing corrections what are you referring to exactly? How would you know? I'm also planning on doing a catless down pipe in a few months. Several people had said only map 1 and 2 would work well for my situation however the car feels quite a bit more powerful in map 5. I've been leaving it in map 5, it's noticeably faster than 1 and 2 for me.

You need to log your car man.

Map 5 on 91 octane is usually a no go, unless your car is a freak from the factory. Don't be one of those people that just run whatever map they want because it feels faster. There was one member who ran Map 7 on pump gas lol.

Is it safe to assume that most people should just run map 1? If so, what is the benefit of the jb4 if you don't plan on doing more than intake and exhaust?

I just installed the bluetooth connect for the jb4 about 2 days ago. So I will be logging it soon. I did a 2nd gear pull the other day logging it just to test everything was working. But I need to go somewhere without traffic and do some logs.

There is no benefit, that's what a lot of people don't realize. Read my guide on modding these cars http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1150729

If you want the CAN controls and features though, the jb4 is the only way to get em.

Thanks for the guide man. I've read it before, but it makes more sense now after doing a bit more research. I guess the only reason why I'd want the jb4 is for the ability to turn the mod off from my steering wheel and the bluetooth adapter so I can say ooh and ahh to a bunch of digital gauges. :/ I think I'll save my money and go with the bms stage 1 instead. Then i can put the money saved towards an AWE exhaust.

JB4 is the best Mod I every did on any of my BMW's. The one on my 2008 335xi has been on since 2008 (started as a JB3) and it is still going strong with no issues.

stage 1 is the best option for M235 without downpipes

Pretty much... Very easy to take on and off, and it makes decent power already.
