I think I'm gonna throw a set of those rims on my 235 and call it a day. It's going to really have to wow me especially without AWD. Really how much more of a beast can it really be.

Sorry, no substitute for rear wheel drive kick in the ass steering. AWD is great for inclement weather though.

Love the exhaust sound comments comparing it to the F8x. Most from people who have never heard a properly set up F8x. There's a huge difference in the exhaust note after warm up and between efficient and sports settings. Let alone those who have actually heard an M2 besides the sound of an exhaust through their computer speakers. Coming from a catless AA signature exhaust on my supercharged E90 M3, I'm pretty happy with the exhaust sound (with active sound disabled) in my OEM F8x in sport and sport+. I'd also put exhaust sound right around number of cup holders on my decision criteria to buy a car. The M2 is going to be an awesome car and if consider it as the front runner if I were looking for a coupe but that's not because the exhaust sounds better than an M4.

Just faster than typing M3/4. M2 is easier than F87

Those wheels won't fit.

And I think you'd be surprised with what thesr M3/4 parts will do to the M2.

I hear a lot of tire screeching and maybe a little burble off the throttle. Tame IMO.

On another note I think the Mperf on the F8x M3/4 sounds great!

Garage List
2014 BMW/M235i  [0.00]
1. I am going to mirror some of the comments made. This exhaust sounds at least 5 times better than the M4 exhaust note. It is trult a beautiful note even from my crappy surface speakers. I can only imagine how much better it will sound in person. And what it would sound like with an MPE installed.

2. The shinny tips look very nice. I suppose this will be standard so they can sell the CF tips.

Either way BMW M has done a great job with what we have seen/heard so far.

From what I heard in the videos is that the farting exhaust note is even worse than the F80/82 .

Very nice, and you've gotta like the F-16 flyover on the second clip. Spangdahlem AB is just a few Km distant from the Nordschliefe.

Why don't you wait until it comes out and then go test drive one. Then you'll know.
And those wheels? Well, those all black ones are only on the test mules. The production wheels will be the 437M black and silver wheels.

Is it just me, or does it look really squirrelly on the track? Just really neutral maybe?

Sounds good to me. That's probably my next ride. Maybe add the Performance sport exhaust if I get bored.

Just curious, why would you "downgrade" from an M4?
