Well yes, in that has shapes and holes in the same places, but seriously to me, it really looks nothing like that at all. I'll take the flames no problem, but its very very toned down a Vision GT .....as it would be really for production sadly. Not saying its not a great looking car, but it is no Vision GT for sure.

Well it kind of has to be right? The reason the Vision GT looks so crazy is because it's very wide. You can't have that on a street car. Remember, you still have to be able to fit the car in a parking spot

I rather like how this car won't be pleasing all the people all the time. Certainly should lead to seeing fewer of these on the roads than if they had catered to the masses.

Not a huge fan of the chrome window trim.

Well, I guess there is still hope we are sub $50k.

I would be surprised if shadowline trim isn't standard on us-spec cars.

I think chrome was available globally on 1Ms actually but only in select markets...

The front aero design is nearly identical, which is what I was referring to

Totally agree, but I also don't think it right to say it looks very much like the Vision Gt...it is based on it yes...but Re the front, not as wide, no air vents at the outside edges of the lights, hoodline has the current gen gap rather than meeting the top of the lights, not as deep and low, lower part of the splitter not angled upwards...no M stripes

Yes its a fine looking car though, shaping up nicely, sounds great too IMO. Not long to see it now thank god.

Agreed on both counts. It's based on it and that's about it.

I'm ready for this journey to end haha. It's been a long road.

This is a pretty ridiculous statement. Every new BMW I see is covered in Orange Peel, my car included. Most new cars have orange peel with stricter regulations.

Yes, but go look at the Vettes. The cars I saw were worse than BMW's paint. It's a sweet car though, the interior is very nice and the fact that they are T-tops are awesome

I don't see how that makes my statement ridiculous if you're just adding that other cars have the problems too.

C7 has problems with paint quality because of the lower density material used for most of the panels. The orange peel and warped panels are in another class compared to BMW. Go browse the Corvette forums to find the hundred page threads on it.

Re M2 test mules spotted in another color than black (or black wrap) on a public road.

Last year we have seen already an early stage M2 test mule in white (June 5, 2014 sighting):

Recently there was a final stage M2 test mule in white spotted in San Francisco (July 2015):

Size: 192.6 KB

And then there was also the red M2 test mule featuring already the more aggressive front aero kit (September 2014).

White is interesting, but in my (biased) view this new pocket-rocket deserves a (non-available) red/orange color:

Note: the photoshoot looks a little too complete and tidy for being an accidental encounter.

Because you made it sound like Corvettes were the only cars with Orange Peel.

It's a targa top, not a t-top.

I'm not good at visioning a car with camo, but I hope some proper aggression is hiding underneath

Well you just misinterpreted my comment, I just stated that they have the issue. I didn't say no other cars do.
