I don't think so. Unlike the side mirrors (which are mostly a cosmetic issue), a huge rear wing like on the GT6 would have too much of an influence to not have it on the test mules for most of the development time.

Maybe on the CSL/GTS, if such a thing will exist, but not on the regular M2.

I'm thinking more in style with M-Performance spoiler with a different design to match the new body look of the M2, Obviously if we had that huge rear spoiler everyone would be aware of it. But maybe something that they already have tested just developed a bit differently.

Cause they do claim that all M-Performance parts have been tested in a wind tunnel on the M235i, It was just released afterwards. And therefore we never saw it on the M235i Mules.

So maybe we get a bit different rear spoiler. One can always hope if not a totally different then maybe add the M-Performance one as standard but in body color maybe?

I would too, but considering the full M-Performance lip for the M3/4 alone is costs more than $1k by itself, I don't see the roof being less than $2k. Still would though

iND that isn't known for being on the low end of the price range sell full replacement roofs for F10's for $1795. I think it is easier to make a flat roof than some more advanced curved stuff. They provided roofs for the 1M and E90 M3 too, so I bet there will be a M2 roof option too.

I'm a big bmw guy: my family has owned 9 of them, and I've owned 2.

I have a deposit down on an m2, while I'm currently in an m235i.

I'm confident the m2 will be an awesome drivers car. A little disappointed that it doesn't have a CF roof, M seats, M mirrors, and more color options? Sure, and I think that's reasonable.

Just irks me when guys get overly defensive, particularly when it's about a car that none of us own, nonetheless have actually seen or driven.
There's gotta be a balance. The things you say are definitely valid, but we also get our fair share of people complaining about the silliest things on this car. To be fair, that's a minority, but still very frustrating to read never the less.

While none of us have ever driven the M2, there are tons of M235i review (glowing reviews I should say) plus we know it'll have the good traits from the M3/4 (i.e the suspension). That's a winning recipe IMHO, and thus why I'm so active on these forums. I have no problem calling out when BMW released duds and take away my beloved Tourings, but this M2 really should be a very special car that doesn't come around very often unfortunately.

That's actually not as bad as I thought for the part, but the labor will kill you unfortunately. I'm all about my CF roofs (my e92 has one), but that's a little too rich for my taste

My friend changed his roof himself on a E92 (had a sunroof). So it is doable, but I guess most people will not do that.

It will have M Mirrors. The 1M prototypes all ran around with standard non-M mirrors. This has been discussed numerous times.
