As far as the radar goes, Ive had this since they came out and recently purchased a V1 for my dad, for his 911. So far I have to say i far prefer the MAX. The only feature that I wish I had that I don't is the arrows that the V1 has. Other than that the fact that the MAX has GPS built in which displays GPS speed, learns false signals and blocks then, and allows you to block signals yourself, I find really useful. Its also much prettier to look at with its nice color display.

Also the V1 is harder to see at night because the lights turn on and flash but you don't know what kind of signal is flashing because you can't see what it says next to those lights. In contrast the MAX displays all info on that nice backlit display so this isn't an issue. I am not sure if with the V1 there's different sounds for the different bands as I have not used it enough, and I know people swear by their V1's so I may be missing something.

I know from all the tests I've seen the range on these two is pretty close and so I'd say if it were my money and I was doing this again, I would again go with the MAX and not lose much sleep over it.
I figured the V1 has to be good with the amount of praise it gets and how long it has been around with basically the same hardware. I've been in a few cars of people who own them and they seem to give false alarms for pretty much anything which was annoying, although I have read they can be made less chatty by configuration with Savvy and turning off a few bands.

The Max I haven't been able to see in person but I'm definitely leaning towards that now since it's an all-in-one device as well, I wouldn't have to buy the extra hardware for the added functionality and it has similar performance.

Thanks for the advice and quick responses.

Sure, and the false warning are what bother me most on the V1, a lot of which is mitigated on the MAX.

Gorgeous car, very nice setup. So far the nicest 235 on here IMO.

I agree MAX all the way, even though I dont have any experience with the MAX, I have ran numerous Escort detectors, and Im currently running the Passport 9500ix wich is basically the old outdated version. I can say the false alarm learn and store is the best damn feature ever. And the range is great. They are silent and when K or Ka go off you better be hittin the brakes because its legit threats. When this thing dies Ill pick up the MAX.

By the way what mirror mount is that? Up until I saw your mount I wasnt aware one was available for BMW since the lack of space on the mirror and rain sensor cover. But that looks like a perfect fit.

Thanks for the complements about he car. Last few bits going on soon and I'll have an updated thread with the new sounds and speed and all those things.

Hey man, do you have a current picture of your car with the three m-stripes vinyl on the grille?
I noticed that you mentioned you were going to put that on and I would just like to see what a BSM together with the black kidney grilles look like with those stripes on!

Thanks.

Is that an optional rear diffuser? Mine is all smooth unlike yours between the exhaust tips.

It isn't any different. The pictures are just taken on a light colored surface that makes the diffuser look matte, but it's really just the reflection of the road surface you're seeing.

I love how the drop looks after it has had time to settle. I didn't think it looked as good as it does now when it was first put on. Now it looks perfect.

Not yet. I may have misplaced them haha.I may have to order new one. But when I did look at them there did not seem any ones that fit correctly on the grille.
