Buying Across State Lines for ED/PCD

Hey everyone-

I currently own a 2011 135i 6MT convertible and looking to order a 2016 M235i 6MT convertible. I've been lurking on the 2 boards for a few months trying to absorb all the info.

I've been working with some local northern NJ dealers but they don't exactly inspire confidence when going over the ED/PCD info. Frankly, I just don't trust that it'll all work out okay. Also, it seems that the deals aren't very strong, considering what I'm reading in the pricing threads.

Does anyone have experience buying from an out-of-state dealer when doing ED/PCD, and if so, do you have any recommendations? Or if anyone from the area has had a good experience with a local dealer, please let me know.

So far the boards have been a wealth of knowledge, so thanks for all your contributions! My intended build is below in case you're curious...

Thanks

2016 M235i Conv
Estoril / Black
Cold Weather, Tech, Driver Asst, HK, Enhanced USB/BT, 6MT
M Performance Items (port-installed if doing PCD, dealer-installed if ED/PCD)
Exhaust + Finishers, Black Kidneys, CF Shifter, Brake, Stainless Pedals, and a few other things.

Got the best deal that way.

Give Jim Wester at BMW of San Antonio a call at (210) 801-8188.

Good luck!

Hope it helps. Again, don't get stuck dealing with your local dealership in favor of getting a better price on your next car. The plus side too is the experience of taking either PCD or ED. Either or both (in the case of ED, then PCD re-delivery) is well worth it.

You can also check with David Aviles of Steve Thomas BMW. He gave me a good deal with no hassle on my PCD order. You can reach him at 202-262-2900.

David can be sometimes hard to get in touch with with email. You can also send a message to GOLFFRR who is usually on these boards alot. GOLFFRR or Jimmy works with David at Steve Thomas BMW.

Another recommendation for David and Jimmy http://www.bimmerdavid.com/. My recent ED was perfect and I just received a date for PCD. Contact them first and you probably won't go anywhere else.
