Agree, and I somewhat like the look of those aluminum(-looking?) side mirrors on the Audis, but these look cheap. I hope we can choose body-colored mirrors.

Interior looks to be made of the same cheap materials as the F30 328i

It may look good on its own, but when you compare with the quality of the E9x series it seems like a downgrade.

My personal opinion, I like the understated interior of the E9x series

The design language has shifted to this new layering effect. It's the same in all new BMW Models.

It does grow on you just give it some time maybe you will change your mind who knows.

Its not the design per se, I understand that changes with times. Some like it, some dont.

I'm talking quality, for example, the plastic elements are supposed to be black (if you look at the online configurator).
But on the F30 328i, its a very dark grey, close to black, but not black.

If you look at the F10 cars, its black.
Somehow you feel that the quality has gone down - & if thats really the case, its unfortunate

i know i'm in the minority....but i really like the original 1er's more unique front end....and the Euro M135's strange front end is also very unique, and looks more like a 'classic' old school BMW rather than the Coupe's more angled, 'modern' front end. One of the reasons i love the 1-series is because it had its own look....the 2-series is a nice evolution, but i feel is lacking some character.

I wonder if the Euro M135 front end would just 'clip on' to the Coupe. It looks like the seams are identical, although i'm sure the Euro parts have some differences. IF the euro front end clips on to the M235i, i think my mind would totally change about the looks of the 2!

You're outcast lol

+2! I also wish the engines weren't so electronic dependent. I've often fantasized about removing the engine cover on my car, but with all the flimsy loose wiring, I don't want to take that chance.

Probably end up with this rather than a new Mustang, but damn on the interior. Don't really like what I've seen. Seems like someone forgot about style and technology.

Crap, we forgot all about a cool NAV/display screen when we designed the dash. Hmmmm, here's a $150, 7" screen. When I'm done chewing this gum, we can use it to mount the screen right on top of the dash. Viola.

I like the silver mirrors, love the aluminum ones on the Audis.

The black side mirrors though, à la F30 sport line, look like total crap. Makes a $40k car look like a $15k car, since black side mirrors are what the bottom rung cars have from some manufacturers (base base base model Jetta, for example - granted the BMW ones are painted and not just black plastic, but still).

The disguises get smarter and smarter those blue and white swirls were a dead giveaway its a BMW putting black tape over the emblems way trickier.

If that really is the M235i is looks damn good hard to tell though.

Big improvement over the 1. Lines are more stretched, Less chunky yet still small.
