oil cooler standard on 235?
I'm assuming an oil cooler will be standard on the 235M, but does anyone know for sure? If you recall, when the 335 was launched only the manuals go the oil cooler as standard. I believe later on (after 2009?) they may have extended that to auto's with sport option. I have an early build 335 (Nov 2006) with auto and I don't have an oil cooler. Just want to make sure this time around.

The pics under the hood I've seen have all had the additional oil cooler lines at the filter assembly. I would make damn sure before I bought [another] one though.

IIRC, all N55 equipped cars have the additional oil cooler now.
When the N54 was launched, not every car with one received the additional oil cooler. I think, at that time, you had to order M sport on the 3 series in order to have the extra one. I think all 135s came with the extra one though. There are a million "limp mode" and "second oil cooler" threads over on E90 and 1addicts if you want to read the fun history. But I am pretty sure the M235 will have it....

I can certainly add my own limp mode stories with my 335 and the N54 engine. Actually on my 5th fuel pump, but knock on wood been good for years now. |

Congrats on your car entering production - mine is either waiting to get on a boat or has just gotten on one. I am hoping for the latter.

Haven't had black in a while - I liked the Mineral Gray a lot, but was worried about how the wheels would look in combo - but those recent shots of it unveiled (wherever that was) it looks really good.

I was concerned about the contrast with the mirrors and rear with other colors, so I know what you are saying about the rims. Figured it would look fine with MG and SBM though, and needed a change in color. I look forward to the first reviews while I not so patiently wait. |

It is so funny how something as small as mirror or wheel contrast can determine the color of the entire car - but paying attention to the details matters!

I doubt it cost him anything since BMW recalled and replaced all HPFP's and extended the warranties to 8 years and 100,000 miles. I had mine replaced and it never had a problem.

My 2012 335xi N55 with Msport (and AT) does not have the additional oil cooler. Sucks ass that it can't hang on the track. Limped.
