rough idle on startup

The last few weeks when I start my m235i in the morning, it has a really rough idle and the rpms jump around a bit. I have an AFE momentum intake and I realized I hadn't cleaned the filter for a while, so I did that last night thinking that may have been the problem as it was pretty dirty. However, this morning it still did the same thing. I'm thinking maybe it's the fuel pump going out since these turbo engines are notorious for that sort of thing. What do you all think? By the way, I also have an AFE power schorcher module on the car. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have filled up at least once or twice since then. although I usually fill up when I have at least 1/4 tank left or so.

How cold has it been? I remember seeing a post where someone had a rough idle and it was temp dependent. Then one day it cleared up on it's own..

Maybe try some extra fuel cleaner like Techron... Possible some buildup on the injector(s)?

I'm in Colorado and besides last Saturday when we got like 10 inches of snow, it's been fairly mild temp wise. That's a good idea to try a fuel additive to see of that helps. I'm hoping my aftermarket intake and/or dirty air filter didn't screw something up.

What brand of gas do you use? I find that my car runs smoother on Shell V Power. Once in a while I run a tank of Standard Techron.

Once in a Blue Moon will my 2016 M235 do this. It's easily remedied by a quick blip of the throttle. Many others with 235/335/435 have reported this. According to a couple of BMW techs, it's caused by the VANOs units adjusting which in rare cases, they're a little slow on a cold start.

honestly I'm not sure as I go to a local convenience store by my house. I know it's not tier 1 gas though.

That is interesting and I wouldn't really be worried if it were happening only occasionally, but it's been happening pretty regularly this last week or so, which doesn't seem normal.
