That's the worst. Especially if you navigated Europe and left the car unscathed, only to have it get damaged through no fault of your own. Hope it gets sorted quickly. That was my nightmare because I didn't give myself enough time for redelivery to account for my current lease expiring. Damage to the car would have left a gap between old car return and new car delivery.

I spoke too soon. Dealer somehow was mistaken about my car arriving. I got an email while I am out of town on business saying the car must still be on the truck and they hope it arrives soon. Apparently there was another gray 2 series that arrived Monday night. Not sure how you screw up that badly but looking like I will have to now fly to Phoenkx if my car doesn't come on this evening or tomorrow. Frustrated beyond belief as it's taken over three weeks since it arrived at port.

BMW website says the car is at the dealer. Anyone seen a case where the web site is ahead of reality ?! Lol I know I haven't in the six months I have been reading posts around here.

I know my car hasn't made it to trucking, and calls to the bmws reps yield nothing. Some reps tell me it's waiting the finishing of updating software. Others tell me that a panel was damaged and a part has to be shipped in. Another says dealer delivery still expected for tomorrow (I don't see how that's possible).
Maybe this was a sign I should have gone with a 235. |

My condolences. This truly was my nightmare. I managed to escape it this time. I had reps telling me the car was at my dealer and my sales person telling me it wasn't, but that sucks. Who is your client advisor?

Just got an email this morning from an ED Specialist, and she says they're still waiting on a part, and that the repair cannot be completed as of this morning. The time since docking in Port Hueneme is almost as long as the time it took the ship to get there. *sigh* I do want to know exactly what is being worked on... they seem to not be willing to share that kind of detail (or don't have access to it). I'll ask my CA if he can see what's going on.
I'm not too upset about it, but the anticipation isn't very fun. I've asked my CA if it might be possible to get a loaner from the dealership... it's hard being without a car. |

Agree 100%. I finally asked around today. BMW told me the car was delivered Tuesday so I called my dealer back. The sales manager called me to apologize and say the trucking company likely is covering the fact their truck broke down and my car is likely on it. He promised to track it down and call me tomorrow with an updated arrival. He also offered me a loaner as I sold my car two weeks ago. Told him thanks but I am leaving on business again Sunday thru Thursday. My only request was they have my car by next weekend. I certainly hope I can leverage this in final pricing negotiations as it has been a CYA from a bunch of sides. Car arrived in port almost four weeks ago so I feel your pain.

Just got the call. Car is actually ready to go. Picking it up this afternoon. Over 4 months since I ordered, but worth the wait in the end. Will post pics when I can.
