You can rent winter tires if it's freezing/snowing.

If you rent tires, would you worry about the salt and such and your new car paint?

I'm going to spend my Thanksgiving break in Munich and Salzburg, mostly. The weather forecast is clear-to-partly cloudy, high 40s, low 50s, and very low chance of precipitation. Fingers crossed!

I didn't get snow tires b/c the weather looked to be ok and I have all season tires. And I'm not doing anything really off the beaten path.
