Question Estoril Front lip painting options (help me decide)

Help me decide on how to paint the front lip on my M235. the way I see it there are 4 options. I took a nice photo of an M235i I found on this site and mocked up in photoshop the 4 options I have. I sort of like either full paint or bottom black.

Thoughts?

If you like bottom black and blue top, I think you're better off buying the Lightweight lip. I would assume it's more cost efficient than buying the M perf lip and then painting it

I prefer the Carbon look. Carbon Everywhere. All Over. hahah

But out of those options, The last one looks the best.

Here's what mine looks like with the bottom of the lip painted EB and the splitters kept matte black.

From my initial searches online and checking with vendors it's oddly about the same price.

@crbalch
That does look cool. The upper part is unpainted or painted matte black?

Now you have me rethinking my choice. My photoshop attempt doesn't do it justice.

I prefer photo 3 - it gives the best definition of the side scoops and center scoop.
Painting the splitter looks too busy right under the center scoop.
Unpainted side splitters just look unfinished to me.

I think - flaps painted, spoiler flat black is the best, this is how I plan to do it.

IMO, if you wanted the top EB and the bottom black, there are splitters out there that are simply the bottom piece and don't cover the bottom of the inlets like the M Performance one does. I think just painting the bottom wouldn't be noticeable enough to make it worth your while. So, my vote is do the whole thing if you're going to do anything.

I had to make the same decision and its photo 2 i went for, reason is option 1 is too much blue, the darker accents i think suit the car, option 3 just does not seem worth it as you may as well just get a cheaper lower lip and being in the dark colour it gets lost , same reason for option 3, so option 2 where the fins are left black and the lower section all colour coded gives the front a lower stance and keep's the 'mean' look with the black which also carry on to the side if you have the side stickers and we also have the side blades colour coded which follows the theme of the front, here is a pic of ours

When you say side blades color coded, which part is EB and what is matte black? Just curious

The side blades are little side skirts which just screw to the bottom of the sill, on the pic is just the blue line under the side sticker foil, it does actually stick out (more so at the back of the car), pic below shows it a little better. The M Performance parts (front spoiler, rear diffuser and side stickers) comes in a Matt Black finish as on my car so they were left un painted.

Okay guys. Quick question. I see some people like the top painted and lower unpainted. I was PM'd recently asking if I had seen the lightweight front lip which basically just screws in under the bumper to give that upper painted and lower unpainted look.

What really is the difference? From the photos I have seen of the lightweight lip it doesn't look the same as the m perf lip but I can't put my finger on it.
