I've got them on my 335i...the only thing I don't like is the squeal at low speeds/brake pressure (like when pulling into the garage, etc.). Others have said they've experienced the same problem. They perform well enough, don't seem as dusty as the stock pads, but the squeal is making me look at alternatives.

Check the brake pad thread, some info about them there - IIRC, these are not well-loved, but perhaps just not a suitable track/street compound.

Currently on CC S/T Rears
Installed the CC S/T's on the rears about a 6 weeks ago and to be honest I cant tell a difference. The only difference is visually - about 3/4 less dust.
. So, this is a positive in my book. Now - I would not track them. However, for DD usage I think they are perfect. No squeals and a firm petal with ATE Typ 200 fluid and ECS SS lines. . I will change the fronts soon to the same. I chose the same S/T over the S/T Plus just because I was only looking for a stock replacement and not an almost track ready pad that may squeak. . I had the Hawk HPS on my prior 335i and was very happy. The Hawk 5.0 were my other consideration but just wanted to give CC a shot. I did use Noise quiet on the back of the pads and quality pin lube following what I learned off of Bavauto and I believe this ensures quiet operation. So if you are looking for a stock replacement with less dust for a daily driver then these are a good choice. Note: I did couple these with a set of Pilenga 2-Piece rotors. |
