This is a personal choice, but to me, there isn't a resale offer in the world worth the extra heat and closed-in, smaller-feeling result of a black interior in any car.

Buying a car based on what you think will resell later is pointless. I've got 40k on my CR interior and it looks as good as the day I got it and have gotten tons of complements.

I've sold a lot of cars and including my bright yellow Corvette and have never heard a seller say "well...I like the car but since it's yellow I'll only give you $5k for it".

If a potential buyer doesn't like a cars color they won't contact you. Plenty of people who buy sporty cars prefer sporty colors, not the usual black and silver that makes up 95% of the auto industry.

I agree. You're buying and modding the car for you, not the next owner. Make it the way you want it and forget about resale. Do you really want to drive a car for six years that you wish looked different just so you can get an extra $1,000 at resale? And, as you said, the next owner might like the choices you've made and they might actually help you sell the car. Mine is a lease so resale isn't an issue for me (yet another advantage of leasing).

I have black interior because I decided to do "different" on the outside!

I hear yah...Coral Red was my top interior choice if I was going to order one..

But coming from an Oyster interior on my X3, I'm actually glad to be back to black for a while (and I love my MR exterior).

CF PErformance interior trim is on order and that will to sexy-up all that black too

I went from what they called lemon (kind of like oyster just not a white) to coral and it was the best choice ever. My lemon needed cleaning regularly but the coral has not. I am 4 mths and 3200 mi into ownership and it looks as clean as it did at pick up. Any color will need more care than black

Bickmore Bick 4 Leather Conditioner has served me well for the past decades. It's a popular and proven leather maintenance regime in the equestrian hobby.
