God I hate these ridiculous EPA standards. The hood line is soooo tall. Can't blame bmw. I do love the car though, especially the M235i

I want to like this car so badly (I have a deposit on one), yet from a styling point of view, there is really nothing to write home about.

The door panels are too high given the overall length of the car and the fenders are far too subdued. It needs a more aggressive stance.

See? WHAT IS IT WITH THE NEW GENERATION LINES?

Some days they look sexy as f*** and on others they just look so mundane..
They all look "meh" and every so often someone gets a pic that makes them look good. Kinda like the fat chick on a dating site who manages to get a profile pic that makes her look hot. Then you meet her in person...

The packages can be odd for Canada. I know someone who did Modernline F30 only to buy the Msport bumpers & coilovers because of leather choices. that is all

Why can't BMW release a stock car with wheels/suspension properly set so it looks good? These pics almost look like the car is lifted. Like an old timer with his pant legs about 2" above his ankles.

The car just looks scrunched up to me, the way the boot opening blends in with the rest of the back end looks like an after-thought. Not my cup of tea, frankly.

Looks like I'll have to go for the 435i.

Hoping the high hood line is just the pic scrunching. Looks compressed.

For our South African friends.
Keep an eye out for some media shoots involving the 2er Cabrio in M235i and 225i later this month. I think the M235i is Mineral or Alpine White.

Hmmm. The car looks dated to me already. At first when I saw the pics I was a bit excited, but the more and more I see photos of the 2 series, the more and more boring and dated it's looking to me. It looks quite plain, boring, and simple.

That 220 with those wheels looks rather cheap too.

Thanks for them in any event.
I can't read or write German so I can't even tell which discussion they are posted in the 2 talk website.

Black looks good on this car.
Modern Line should be white or silver though.

I'm not really a fan of these new cars. I can't believe I've become *that* guy, but the styling is just not that great all around. Certain aspects look good, while the rest just is off-putting. I keep thinking back to my E46 M3 and think that every aspect of that car is perfect. Call me biased, but I can't seem to fall in love with the latest batch of smaller cars - 2 and 4'ers.

one thing i'm beginning to identify with not liking for the back of the car is how the tail lights slant downard toward each other. couldnt they have been just straight. theyy slant downard toward ea. other just like the headlights do.

as in the wheel well fenders? i dont like that sanded off 1inch flat edge look which i think honda, nissan, and so many other cars started to have on their cars psat 5 yrs yeech. couldn't they flare it a little??? can't wish they'd ever go back to the e46 but... just a little... there's none..kinda boring
