Key Fob Lock Broke

Hello,

My key will no longer lock into my fob. I believe part of the lock mechanism broke off. Is it possible to replace only this part of the key without buying a replacement key?

I took a pictures of my key and my friends functioning key to compare.

Thanks!

Get a new fob from the dealer. Have the dealer sync it with the car.

This.

Many dealers will gladly help a customer to keep the good will out if you bought your car from them.

Especially if you broke it b/c you needed to use the emergency key (that would mean s/t else failed, right?).

And I'm loving the combo of beer-opener and key-finder on your fob. Gotta appreciate a heavy drinker who can plan ahead for the closing-time key hunt .

Unfortunately I got the car via lease transfer and I just use the closest dealership for service.

Might as well just go in and see if they can do anything but I literally don't spend any money with them since all of the service fees are covered in lease lol.

Garage List
If you're still under warranty, I'd think it should be covered.
