You are a 2Addict ~ WHEN?

When swapping to your winter wheel and tire set-up ; you stop to clean / wax your calipers.

lol, I use a coarse scrubbing pad and aluminum polish/cleaning compound on my rotor hats to keep them shinny and new, so got ya there!

You know you're 2Addicted, when you have more microfiber cleaning cloths in your car than in your house

When you attempt, with a straight face, to convince a family friend and physician of 40 years that you need a handicapped parking pass to protect your 2er from door dings on the rare occasion it's parked in a public lot and "middle of nowhere" far away parking in 2 spots is not a viable option.

Bonus points if when told "no way in hell" you then plead your case that car OCD is in fact a mental health handicap that would necessitate a parking pass.

What makes YOU a 2Addict??
What if you wax them regularly and not just when installing winter wheels?

Wrong angle - retry? I bet it will really exacerbate your PTSD from the last door ding, so you can't even concentrate while your car is parked in danger. Flashbacks, sudden waves of anxiety and a need to exhibit checking behavior looking out to see if it is still OK, a sense of impending doom.... Might even qualify for workers comp if that door ding happened at work.

When you see an early Black Friday sale and you impulse buy 1500 dollars worth of Alcantara and carbon interior bits.

Or when you want to recreate the 2002 or E30 M3, instead of starting with an M235/240i or an M2 you dump serious cash in to a 228i because "4 cylinder"

I just winterized my 2er on Saturday and miss it dearly already. Makes you appreciate fine engineering when you drive a shitty Mazda trey around.

How about not only parking your 2 in the more remote parts of a parking lot,
but also parking with your car pointing into the wind, thus reducing the chance
of a wind-blown door nailing you car.

Also park on high ground so minimal risk of loose shopping cart rolling your way.

It may be genetic. Dad had me accidentally / on purpose reset mom's homelink so she couldn't get in the garage after she did a shit parking job too close to him.

There are times to win the slow race...

Still another quirk of a 2addict:

The last 1/4 mile to our remote radio control airplane field is dirt. When I take my M235i, I drive the dirt stretch at about 5 MPH to minimize dust on the car, particularly the rear of the car.

Most of the other club members drive the ranch-legal 15 MPH in the dirt road area. If I'm among the last to leave the field, I always volunteer to be tail-end Charlie so I can drive my usual slowness, plus way far enough behind to avoid their dust.

If you were a real 2addict you'd only go on days following rain so dust would be at a minimum. That or you'd walk the last leg on foot

Hey now: dedication is relative. No matter if you smoke 10 cigs a day or 40, you're still an addict. ;P

(Semi-tangential tip: This stuff is AWESOME for keeping brake dust at bay and making it easy to wash off. Recently applied it to my 718's wheels, including the inner barrel. Great stuff.)

Ha was jus busting balls. There's addict and then there's junkie. No one wants to be a junkie. That's not a good look.

You do your weekly wash unabashed during rain showers because you're gonna blow dry it in the garage anyway.
