US to Euro pre-LCI tail lights swap

Are there any differences between the US & Euro tail lights other than Euro has amber turn signal lenses? Is it a simple plug & play swap? It's a 2015 228i.
I understand there is wiring and/or coding to be done with swapping to LCI tail lights.

But size, no there's no difference in size between yours, LCIs and even M2s. People are constantly purchasing from euro parts stores.

Thanks! Yes, I was following the LCI upgrade earlier in ownership but wasn't convinced to make the swap.
