I just ordered a 2017 BMW 230i thru European Delivery. Pick up in Munich Sept.19 (my first choice), drive around Europe for 2 weeks (still planning the route), drop off Oct.3 in probably Frankfurt, then re-delivery to Peformance Center Delivery in Spartanburg SC (hopefully late Nov or early Dec), then 3-day joyride back home to Chicago. This is my second ED after 10 years, and my first PCD. Specs:

Metallic Mineral white
6-speed manual transmission
M Sport Package with all season tires (square set up not staggered), Black Sensatec, and Fineline Stream Wood trim with Oxide Silver matte accent
Cold Weather Package
Moonroof
Driver Assist Package

I look forward to the whole experience! The 230i will replace my 2006 325i that I'll likely sell sometime during the winter.

Sep.20, 2016, i took delivery of my 2017 230i in Munich. Also did the factory tour and visited the museum. Arrived in Salzburg for the night, rough itinerary next 13 days: Salzburg, Berchtesgaden, Grossglockner Pass, Brenner Pass, Innsbruck, Alpine Road to Lindau with visit to Neushwanstein, Luzern, Bern, Black Forest, Colmar, Freiburg, Strasbourg, Baden Baden, then Frankfurt where i'll drop off.

I should mention i bought from David Aviles with help from his assistant Jimmy Bach at Steve Thomas BMW in Camarillo, CA, got a great deal and service couldn't be any better as many others have mentioned.

David & Jimmy are excellent, not a single dealer in my area could match the experience I got from them.

This was my complete route for my European Delivery trip. 14 days with the car, 1600 miles total. Picked up in Munich on day 4, dropped off in Amsterdam on day 17. Good balance of driving and sightseeing. Weather was mostly 65-70 and sunny. Excellent trip that I'd recommend.
