Not true, how do you have more room in the front seat when at best the glass is 1/8th an inch and the glass is flush with the metal top?Rear seat yes but do you sit and drive in the rear seat? Please explain how you could have more head room. By the way, BMW's are luxury/premium brand cars they are not stripped Kia's , Fiats or Chevy. Just looked at my dealers inventory of 86 cars/suv's in stock ever vehicle had a sun/moon roof, the only inventory I didn't check was 4 I3's. Try selling a used BMW without a sun roof, especially when the model comes with one standard. If not having a sunroof was such a great idea wouldn't dealers be ordering some or any BMW's without sunroofs? I owned 2 E46 M3's both with sunroofs and a third E46 M3 convertible. 16 BMW's and I wouldn't even look at a car without one. People in the 70's and 80's had businesses installing sunroofs before the became common place and they sold the shit out of them and cut a hole in your roof. Hell, I had a sunroof on my two Pontiac Fiero's a 85 and 85 and they were two seaters where it flipped up or you removed it and put it in the trunk.

The headliner is lower to accommodate the sunroof, I don't know why that is so hard to understand.

Newsflash... Dealers DO order numerous current M3/M4s without sunroofs (the carbon fiber roof is quite a popular alternative).

If everyone were as smitten with sunroofs as you claim, how come BMW doesn't even offer a sunroof on the U.S.-spec M2?
