Update to my M235i order

Hey all, I'm in the Greater Toronto Area and my dealer just contacted me today to advise that my order for the M235i initially was aiming for a June production (Order placed May 9th) and today BMW has still not given me on a production number/week yet. My dealer advised that the MY17 order sheet has been updated and I was given the choice to go for the MY16 or MY17. I opted for the MY16 still as I don't know any reliability of the B58 engine and would honestly like the N55 engine as I read it's a solid engine.

In the end I did advise that I want the MY16 as the added extra HP on the MY17 isn't really that important to me, the new iDrive system which includes CarPlay is interesting to me however it's more $ so I wasn't sure if I'd go for it in my opinion. These cars are to be driven, not to be fiddled with on the electronics for. Any thoughts?

I too am in the GTA and ordered a 2016 228 Cab on May 30th. Wondering if my June build will be built in June! I'd go with your gut feeling as you'll never know what the "other" outcome would have been. The N55 is a well known and proven engine, so yah, I'd say a higher risk level with the B58. But only hindsight will tell. - S.

Update: Now have VIN and "in production". That was quick.
