Hit a pothole and got a flat how do I proceed???

I hit a pothole last nice and got a flat tire in the front left tire of my m235i they are the p7 run flats and I was planning on replacing them anyway with staggered mpss and vmr wheels.
I was able to drive the car back into my driveway but the problem is the tires will take until Thursday to come and the wheels will take 3-5 days,
Is it safe to leave the car on the run flat in the driveway for that long or will it damage my rim?

If it is, will I be able to drive it to a shop to have the new wheels and rims put on when they come?

What is the best way to go about this situation considering I'm buying new wheels and tires anyway but I do not want to damage the old rim or spend ridiculous amounts of money having it towed to bmw and then having them charge me an arm and a leg to mount and balance the new wheels on my car

Please help

Can you post a picture of the tire - since it's a Runflat is the sidewall totally collapsed? Or is the tire functioning in it's emergency mode as a runflat?

It seems like your lucky you had the Run flat tire.

Read your owner's manual. You should normally be able to drive 50 miles at up to 50 mph unless the failure is catastrophic, even with zero pressure. And there is no harm to having it sit in your driveway.

I drove mine home, about 60 miles with no issues. Since it was inter state I kept it around 50 MPH as recommended by the manual. I recommend keeping the speed down.

I've also had this happen and had to drive about 55 miles on the flat to get home. I put the car on jack stands and took the wheels to the tire shop to have the new tires installed the next day. As far as sitting in the driveway, won't hurt a thing.

One of the main reasons why run flats are a POS

Tire stores rarely have them in stock so you have to wait days for a replacement. Be thankful this did not ruin a vacation. However, Discount Tire in the west will usually give you a non-runflat loaner tire until replacements arrive

I don't have runflats so I need to ask, in the photo above the collapse of the sidewall, is that the amount of sidewall failure that you can expect and still use the tire to drive to a destination ?

I was fine driving it home at 40 mph for 15 min and everyone has told me it can sit in my driveway for a few days until my new rims and tires come

I agree with the earlier comment about putting it up on stands to take the pressure off that tire (happened to me late at night and had to wait until morning) I put air in the tire before putting it back down and drove it to the dealer. Total of 60+ miles, just keep the TPMS up the whole time while driving it haha and a compressor in your car

Can I mount the oem rims on 225 255 tires? Or is the 255 too big

Can I put one mpss on the front left tire where the flat was and keep it in the driveway until late next week?

I've just had my car for 2 weeks and the sidewall on one of my P7s failed; the replacement costs for these tires are expensive than non-runflats and I am going too have to wait a few days.

Curious what you all do when you have a flat with non run flats?

I'm tempted to switch over to better and cheaper tires.

bimmerzone.com mini-spare tire kit.

I've carried one in the trunk since the car was new, so of course, I'll never need it!

Not sure how it's a problem if you're going to let the car sit in the driveway for a few days anyway?
