BMW 2 Series Second in Best Retained Value (Canada)

Interesting titbit from the North as Canada Black Book announces their annual list of cars with best retained value after 4 years. The 2 Series made second place in Sport Cars. IIRC from last year BMW Canada uses something well south of 50% for a retained value after 4 years for lease calculations on a 2...

Does not jive with what I see in the US market for convertibles. I troll cars.com and autotrader for used 235s and 240s as my likely next buy. If you shop, you can find 2-3 year old CPOs around 10K-15K miles asking about $35K and they will take less. Makes it about 40% or more under MSRP for a barely used car. I'm not complaining, great deal for me when I pull the trigger.

Just did a search on Autotrader with your criteria. There are 71 cars. Only 3 were $35k or less with less than 15k. The majority are in the 37-40 range CPO with low miles - those are RWD btw. XDrive averaged 38-45k.

So basically, from a value standpoint, the 2 is the best BMW to own.
