M235i all the way but if you want to save a little less on everything get the 228i as its still a cracking car. You might miss the engine noise and feel but might like the lighter front weight of the 4cyl.

Not far more enjoyable, but and this coming from a 228 owner, 235 if you can afford it.

I went 228i M Sport for it is really only going to be a car on the street and it provides more than enough power for what I intend to use it for. If you were going to track it, the M235 definitely has the advantage.
