Ill probably be getting an intake here soon and may do some dyno testing back to back, I understand it's very easy and quick to change out the intake so should be able to do it on the dyno.

So after reading this thread I think I'm going to hold off on the BMS intake I was going to get, don't want to lose the smoothness of a brand new BMW over some whoosh sounds...

From the thread, they tested with and without the hood closed and got similar results.
I would need more information to consider this conclusive. I don't see why this would be different from every other dyno with and without a CAI I have seen.
There are CAIs out there that actually give you less HP per the dyno readings.

Again I think the real purpose of CAI is more for the free flow of colder air than the HP gains. I haven't even seen one with a heat shield so that also affects it's function.
And I would repeat it's best done with a Tune and Exhaust together. Just my 2 cents.
