My car is coming next week, fully loaded model. Definitely will try to recode and will let you know the results. Can anyone give me some hints on how coding is done on vehicles? Do i need to buy ODB device? Or how is it done?

for Variable light dist, you can either... modify to FA and VO code ("code" button) FEM_BODY or do the changes shown in 36-37 in the sheet and "code FDL" button
i dont have HBA so not sure if there is any individual change in the FLA ecu so it's just easier to just make the change to the FA and then just hit "Code" |

@pikcachu I did FDL coding for VLD as opposed to FA / VO coding; what I'm trying to figure out is why the driver's-side light looks like it moves a lot more than the passenger-side light. I'm actually not even sure if the passenger-side light is moving at all.
From the videos you posted, it looks like you're seeing the same thing but it's interesting as the description for VLD states: "1 - City Light: Shallow and Very Wide Beam Pattern active from 0 - 50kph (30MPH) (Both Headlamps are Panned outwards 12° horizontal from center and 0.7° lowered vertically)" Thoughts? |

So, I took the plunge and coded this in (removed 5AP, 8S4 from FA and coded FEM_BODY). I have the HBA feature, and I have to say this is one of the funky-er features. My drive back home consisted mostly of 2-lane backroads with a fair bit of oncoming traffic. So after activating the HBA, at first nothing unusual, but then at a certain point the blue high beam indicator came on the dash, then I could clearly see the tunnel effect and the left head light swivel when on-coming traffic appeared. Most notable when not following a car. Also noticed, the high beam indicator never went off even with oncoming traffic, until I slowed down to a stop. Before I coded this, the high beam indicator would automatically switch off with oncoming traffic.

I have this on my car, doesn't seem to work that well. Tried them when it was dark and it wouldn't turn on the high beams. Might be that I'm a bite of idiot, but didn't seem to work.

For me, this feature deactivates in well lit areas. I.e. the blue high beam symbol in the dash turns off. Possibly because the camera is picking up too much ambient light, or slower speed? But I can clearly see it working on unlit two lane roads with on coming traffic.
