My M240i x-drive entered production today!
My dealer modified an allocation for me on 1/9. Called the 1-800 status number today and it has entered production. Estimated completion date is 1/24. Excited!
I wonder how long it will take to get to Dallas. I will be following it closely! |

Called the 800 number yesterday and the car has completed production and has shipped. The BMW site states vehicle has left the plant and is ready to ship.
Oddly I called the 800 number this morning and the status report is back to in production scheduled completion date 1/24. Odd. |

You're getting there. I was in your shoes this time last year. The wait was excruciating but so worth it.

Wow, so roughly a month from start of production to Galveston! That's incredibly quick. Gives me hope that even though my production hasn't yet started, I could possibly still see it by April 1st (NY).

Yeah, guess so. About a week to enter production, took 5 days to make it, about 3-4 to ship, another 10 to Galveston. Might have been lucky on all of the timing between phases. Dealer told me a week or two ago they expect it at the dealer on the 27th. I'll keep updating this thread as it progresses. Hoping to push pickup to march in hope of some incentives. We shall see.

While the fact that it is an M240i is exciting enough, we might share more in your enthusiasm if you give us some details about your order! Color, options, specs, etc.!
I almost got the M240i as well but saved a bunch on a '16 M235i so instead of waiting I'm driving... LOL Congrats! Chris |

M240i x-drive Mineral white metallic Oyster dakota leather Cold weather package Drivers assist Drivers assist + Silver 436M wheels w/ summer tire Nav HK sound Carplay MSRP: $55,070 Mineral white with the white leather will be a unique color combo for sure. Don't know if I have seen that before. I really wanted a saddle brown leather but the brown option is darker than I wanted. Here in TX it gets so HOT in the summer and work has no covered parking. Thats why I went with the light colors. My 335is is dark blue with black leather. Even with Formula1 Pinnacle on all windows, sunroof AND clear film on the front window, I have clocked the inside at 158F in the summer! By the time I get home (30 mins) I am covered in sweat and the AC is just starting to get the heat under control. I thought about going with a much more stripped down version of the car but after MUCH thought I decided this one I am planning to keep for at least 5 years so I might as well drop a few more grand and get it all. |

Nice! I don't believe I've seen White with the Oyster either. Bet it'll look nice. I can understand the heat issue; my sister had an old Toyota MR2 (still has it, along with 5 others LOL) which was black with black leather and no AC... that sucker got HAWT!!!

Shipping update:
When I check the BMW site it says the car is on the next to last step, finishing touches. When I check the 800 number it now says vehicle at port awaiting shipping vessel. Kinda strange. Maybe that port is Galveston and the shipping vessel is a truck bound for Dallas. We shall see! mumps - I will post up some pics when she comes in. I am hoping it will look good. I have had SO many cars with black interior that I am really looking forward to something different. I am going to put this car through the same film treatment: formula 1 pinnacle everywhere and clear film on front window. I just wish I could put a remote start on it so I could let it cool down before getting in it but BMW really doesn't seem to do remote start which sucks. I couldn't imagine a black on black no AC car in TX during the summer. That would be horrific. |

Yeah, I'd have to change my boxer briefs if they were to bring back the .9% financing. Better chance of seeing new incentives 4/1, being a new quarter. I'm estimating my car to arrive at the dealership the last week in March/first week in April , but I intend to hold out until April regardless.

Update: Haven't heard anything from the dealer about the car showing up yet. I figure they won't bother to ping me until after the PDI. We will see. |

Sent an email to the dealer last night. They said they received the car on Saturday Feb 25th. Thanks for letting me know...
Anyway... I still have to get the OEM wheels and tires back on, get it cleaned up, get a CarMax appraisal then head out to pick her up. Scheduled to pick it up this Saturday at 3pm. I should be a lot more excited about this but I am worried that the dealer is going to try to screw me on my trade. I am prepared for that if it happens. Just kinda takes a little of the fun out of it all. Once the deal is done I will get excited. |
