2018 question

Anyone have any ideas what Bmw will add to the drivers assistance package since backup cameras will be standard in 2018? I'm thinking HUD, but I know it's a pipe dream.

I'm on mobile right now so can't check, but the 2018 4 series ordering guide is already out so I'm sure the changes they made there will be mirrored for the 2er.

That's not necessarily true as the 4 isn't due for a facelift unless I'm mistaken so maybe fewer changes.

2018 is the facelift for both the 4 and the 2.

Oh forgot the 4 trailed the 3 that's right. Crazy Germans.

Hit dealers Sept 2017 as a 2018 model. Nothing mechanical vs 2017 just cosmetics. The big changes coming in 2019 or 2020.

Thanks... That's what I thought since all the mechanical updates look to have been done for 2017. I did find a few spy photos and it looks like all they did was change the headlight for the exterior.

The only thing it's really going to impact is those looking for a leftover in the fall may get a slightly better deal than in a non LCI year (but not as good as all new version coming out). I don't think there's anything game changing coming in 2018. That will be the all new 2 that's out after that, and look for same engines just updated everything else. GC too which I'm excited about.

I hope they don't limit the Gran Coupe to automatics like they do for the 4 series. I'm hoping to get a 4 door 2 series in manual, but if they don't offer in manual, I'll prob look for other options

It's the magic bmw formula: 6 manual gears, rwd, small and 6 cylinders.
