A friggin car wash and detail.. It's been well below freezing for weeks now and even in grey metallic it looks like garbage....

I have new brown ice running boards. Have been looking for tall curbs to remove them.. Local car washes are either frozen or just grind in the dirt with no water.

I hope to have the use of a hose next week.. Might have to break out the power washer if 32F ever arrives.

It's the simple things that tend to bring happiness.

Part of it was done this past weekend early: Dinantronics Sport, aFe Pro-Dry S drop-in filter, aFe Dynamic Air Scoop.

The other half'll be done in February: non-RFT replacement rubber all around (needed to wear the stock Continental RFTs out; rears are at 4/32 tread after 13K miles, so it's about that time).

If Santa brings some extra cash: Dinan axle-back exhaust. But that's probably not gonna happen. I have other expensive hobbies to blow wads on.

Did you notice much of a intake air temp drop with the air scoop?

I haven't driven the car in long enough stretches yet to assess any of the add-ons yet. I've got a P3Cars gauge with intake air temp as a reading, and I've noted conditions and temps before install, so I'll be able to give some feedback on it at some point -- but probably not conclusively until spring since ambient temps here in Dallas have fallen into the winter-dom realm, and most of my notes are for temps above 70F ambient.

However, there're a few F30 threads that are conclusive enough about its effect to make me pull the trigger, and isolating the intake vent from the radiator air at both low and high speeds makes sense from a thermodynamic standpoint. It's certainly worth $60 and a kidney-grill removal procedure (easier than threads make it out to be, really), anyway.
