I finaly got some decent seat time with the DP and YES IT IS WORTH IT. Comfort mode felt like sports mode and sports mode is a whole nother level. ECO is still ECO and sluggish. I'm still on map 1 and am very very pleased with the results. Map 2 is going to be insane.
Just remember to run the EWG and FF harnesses if you are going with Map 2 or higher.

Thanks for the tip, that was my original plan and then I asked Burger if it was going to be ok to skip the harnesses for now and just stay on map 1 and they confirmed that was ok and that it was ok to go to map2 without harnesses if and only if I run 93 octane.

Anyone else go this route???

I am very curious about auto-tune, thanks for the suggestion.

I did ask Burger which would be best and they suggested map2 would be more consistent and go with even higher octane if I want to use auto tune which was interesting.

Still curious if anybody is doing the DP without EWG and FF running 93 on map 2???

Map 2 would be more consistent because it would always target the same boost targets.
While map 5 sometime will target various boosts (higher or lower depending on your fuel and IAT)
the only way you will know for sure which one works best for you is by trying each for a week at least.

G-man

I've run map 2 with 98RON fuel here in the UK w/o extra FF and EWG wires. No problems.

Custom map 6 is like map 2 but with target boost settings established on a rolling road.....started the day with stock 320/330 power/torque at the crank and end up with 380/450 at the crank with map 6. Happy days....

PD.

I was running very lean prior to installing the EWG/FF harnesses and this was on Terry's recommendation.

1st time I've read an issue of being too lean without EWG and FF wires.

Lots of posts out there already on assorted forums of folks having timing pulled and random boost overshotting targets with EWG wires only.

BMS fixed it by firmware tweaks and advisory to install FF wires with EWG wires.

I may consider it once BMS issue a new loom for EWG cars ie stage 2 plugs + integrated EWG harness and FF wires.

I thought our cars (m235i) had a 4" downpipe... and wouldn't removing the cat free up a lot more power and torque then even a race cat...

I chatted with Terry on the topic and in a nutshell without the EWG I will not get peak map 2 boost. He saw no concerns but did suggest I get him some logs.

I switched to map 2 and took a test drive and like map 1 it feels like stock if your just cruising but is a beast when you step on it. My only gripe was I was averaging 24.8 mpg before that test drive and it dropped to 24 after

I will be getting some data logs on both maps to compare the two. Same for any other maps I run down the road.

Map 2 was a noticable improvement and once I get some data logs to confirm all is good is where I will stay and forego the EWG and FF.

Rolling back to map1 until I can find the time to get those logs.

DP is definetly worth it, JB4 and DP is the way to go.

Great deal and enjoying your product. The customer service shipping and handeling were fantastic.

I'm back on map2 after capturing some logs and verifying all was looking good. I see my boost peaking at 13.9, not too shabby considering no EWG and FF and with everything looking good. Car is noticeably quicker.

I'm pretty content at this point with the performance considering the time/money invested. Cat-Back would be nice if prices ever come down.

G-Man,

13.9 psi is good, I'm getting above 15psi on map6.

Car runs fine, goes like stink and when cruising fuel economy is slightly better.
