Loll! Just go for it, you'll have done yourself a favor I promise.
And just go for the GT Exhaust without the valves, you'll save a few bucks that way. The only time the exhaust gets too loud is during a cold start which lasts about 20 seconds... |

This thing sounds bananas. Anyone want to buy one off me after I return my car in 3 years? LOL I don't think I can spend that much for a leased vehicle, but I'm lamenting how much I'll miss the lovely sounds of my 335is when I return it for the M235i.

I am buying this exhaust. I can't wait to get this installed. I just hope they ship to APO addresses. Just curious though, what's the sound difference between the EV Control exhaust open and the Super Light GT Racing exhaust? Anyone know?

Does this exhaust plug into a specific port or is there wire splitting? Are there any directions to this online or does it only come with the exhaust?

Like to know as well. From my understanding looking at the pictures the exhaust comes with a switch. Can it be made to work the same as the stock exhaust? Changing modes with the stock wiring? Not afraid of cutting, splicing or adding relays if needed. BTW, those asking about the post with the guy saying he knows someone. I would bet it is his sponsor

Where did you see the switch is optional. Any install instructions or diagrams available anywhere? Depending on how busy I am tomorrow will call a fairly local place that that sells this exhaust to see if I can get more information.

I emailed the person with DTMHAUS and they said "The valve is hardwired into a switch." I don't know what switch so I'm interested in seeing what it is when I get the exhaust. I thought on the website there was a mini remote control for the valve so you don't have to be in the car to open/close it, but I could be mistaken.

Not sure what "hard wired" means. Looks like the switch/harness assembly has a connector that can be unplugged near the valve in the exhaust. How would you run the wiring if it did not unplug? Would have to drill a hole in the car the size of the switch to get it into the cabin. I do not have the car yet to check out factory wiring and no instructions seem to be available. Like to know when you get it.

Yeah absolutely. It will be my first mod I do when the car comes in. I'll post a DIY and build thread for those interested. Will have to do the JB4 stage II and catless down pipe all at once.

Here is how the GT Haus Meisterschaft exhaust looks when it ships. It's in fantastic shape! Hope to put it in with my catless down pipe this weekend.

Looks good. Like to hear your impressions when installed. Did you get the remote control? For the wife's car it may be a bit much even in closed mode. Wonder how it would sound leaving the stock resonator. Still trying to get over the cost as well. More than I want to spend for what is basically an axle back system.
