Weakest links in the 228's powertrain?

Now, I get it, these most likely have been touched upon on other threads topics throughout this forum, and I have searched about as thoroughly as I can to try and find these items of note...

But for the sake of consolidation and maybe to simplify by just tapping the local NI's (natural intelligence's) to help me find where these gremlins might take place...

What I've dug up so far:

1. Faulty fuel pump in 2014 models (non-issue for 2015 on)
2. Potentially faulty timing chain in 2014 models (non-issue for 2015 on)
3. Cooling fan in 2014-2015 models

I bow before those with encyclopedic knowledge regarding my inquiry, hopefully a full account can be provided via this thread and any suggestions on what has been done by the members here to alleviate them.

Thanks in advance.

I've read this post three times now without being able to identify a question.

Fair enough, I replaced the '..' in the title with a '?'
Does that help?

FYI: Both are non-issues for builds after January 2015. The fuel pump design only affected early N20s -- not sure when the adoption date was, but I think it was in 2014 -- and the timing chain issue was resolved with a design change starting with January 2015 cars.

The other one I would add, based on a few recent failures, is the cooling fan in 2014-2015 models, which can fail. It would be replaced under warranty (and, AFAIK, has been in all of the cases I know about), but after that it's something to consider.

Thank you for the additional clarifications on the pump and chain items.

Thanks in advance.
If the timing chain problem has been solved as of the 01/15 builds, BMW isn't convinced. My 02/15 build received the the warranty extension to 7 years and 70000 MILES. Maybe it's CYA. (I hope )
In any case, change the oil at 5000 miles. Old oil seems to cause the problem of stretched timing chains. Ford has the same problem with their V6 and V8 ohc engines.
