Dinan springs + 245/40R17 work?
No where in the forum seems to answer this question.
Would 245/40R17 fit without rubbing after installing dinan springs (drop)? Any 17" wheels to recommend? (Preferably no spacer) |

No idea about the drop but Apex ARC-7's in 17x8.5 in +40 are as close as you can get to perfect in a 17" wheel.

you wont rub on 17x40.
It all depends on what tires since all mfg are different. Can say 245 on the side, but really be a 255, or 235 etc...

Saw people running Hankook rs4 17" in the forum. I assume they will work with dinan springs according to your input. (No camber) |

the rear will give you the most trouble, and you can always dial in close to -2 in the rear without suspension mods.

you don't need camber plates for the rear.
You can have a suspension shop dial in negative camber with factory setup.

no idea. both tires you mention are wider tires. going to be closer to a 250/255. Going that wide you def need camber. Why don't you call tire rack or discount tire.

Will give that a try. We already know that the setup will work without a drop.

No fender mod, and I don't think I'll need one either. With the smaller 17" wheels, I should have enough room in the wells in front. I know I have enough clearance in the rear.

I am running 245/35/18 Mich Pilot Sport 3 summer tire, front and rear on TR motorsports C4 18x8 +45 no rubbing. Lowered on Dinan Springs M240i RWD.
It handles fantastically. I really like the extra front end grip. |

Very nice setup man! Do you think 255/35/18 would work on a 18x8.5 ET38 wheel and lowering springs?

honestly my setup fit well. Yours will be 13.5 mm more aggressive and with wider tires you will hit the fenders for sure. you'll probably need an aggressive roll in the front and more camber all around.
