Maybe a security guard will give you a conjugal visit on Sunday.

Getting to that final stage of insanity, eh ?

Do you feel your hands trembling, like you just quit drinkin ?

Do you find your mind switching between the fantasy of "Sunday pickup" and the reality of "Monday pickup" ?

I literally thought today was Sunday. I was on my way to the dealer to see the car being unloaded off the truck. Then I woke up.
Drinking is a good idea! Does that make time go by faster or slower????

If you're big into Wine, you should check out NakedWines. You could sign up to be an angel sponsor and get really good deals on some pretty good wines.

I know this is but just thought I'd let you know.

Just checked it out. I got this message... "Right now we're fully subscribed and there's a waiting list to become an Angel."

Thanks for the tip. I'll keep my eye on it.

Now, back to waiting for my car to arrive...

Wow, that was quick. But do keep an eye out.. Also, if you go to NAPA valley, you can taste as many wines as you want and for however long you want and it's all free or at a very nominal charge.

Finally!!!!

We picked up our new M235i yesterday around 11am in Camarillo, CA!!

We tried taping up the front for the drive back to Las Vegas, but the tape in the sun was letting go before we even drove so we ended up just taking it off... I guess the 3M advanced tape that claims to stick better doesn't really.

Congrats! I can't wait to get my blue. Gawd, the color looks great in your pics!

It would have been fun to see if anyone submitted photos of your car as a disguised prototype. Hopefully she's untarnished anyway.

We made it back to Las Vegas without incident, but today I realized that I'm out of car wax! Oops!

Over lunch tomorrow I'm heading to the DMV to see about registering.. and then to a local XPel Clear Bra installer. THEN I'll get some nice photos

I drove back really late at night - hit the CA/Nevada border around 12:30. I may or may not have hit 130 at one point..

Beware, my first speeding ticket was in Nevada. I went 30 minutes without seeing a single car before a cop coming in the oposite direction gave me a ticket. Funny thing was I never saw another car on that road for the next 40 minutes or so.

Congrats! BTW, don't wax your new ride if you are planning on XPEL installation. The installer will strip all wax in and around the installation areas.

You can give your M235i a good rub down later after the XPEL has cured. The installer will advise you when.

I ordered a 112 car around this time in January and I took delivery last Friday! Estimated delivery was actually first or second week of April. I had to get an extension on the early lease return program from BMWFS due to that, but thankfully didn't end up needing. It was delivered to port H whatever (lol) in Long Beach and the dealership was in Anaheim.

What is XPEL ??. How does it help ??.
Also, why do you wax the car apart from making it shine a little more.

Xpel is a thin clear plastic film placed over the nose / leading edges of your car to prevent stone chips from occurring in your paint.

You wax the car to protect the paint from oxidation, bird waste, bug guts, tar, and so on. Your car shines more, doesn't get dull, etc.

Thanks Zooks527.

A couple more questions, How often do you need to wax it and XPEL the car ??.
Also, how much does it cost to wax the car and XPEL the car everytime ??

XPel is put on once by an installer. I believe it comes with a 10 year warranty. Pricey, from what I've heard, north of $500 and approaching $1000. There are other brands (I had 3M film on my 335) at different costs (the #m was $700 6 years ago, and the dealer is offering it on my new car for the same price).

I tend to wash weekly, wax/paint protect less often (a few times a year). Costs $50 or so for the summer in material costs, as I do it myself. Having a detailer do it will be a few hundred dollars each time, depending on location and the skill level of the detailer.

Thanks Again.

Did the 3M coat start to come off or yellow or start to tear from the edges ??.
I saw that the XPEL Ultimate is quite expensive and was wondering if it was necesary.

I'm probably going to learn to clean and wax myself. I heard Meguiars Ultimate Wax is pretty good.
