Cool Video: BMW CSL Hommage R engine sound....

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I was browsing YouTube today and found this... I think it sounds pretty good, better than the F80/F82, actually.

BMW described the engine as only a 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six with e-motor.

Sounds like a 1M with a full Akrapovic. That idle is pretty aggressive too.

It kinda reminds me of the i8 concept.
A revolutionary design study nobody thought would be release as is.
It did.
No this one, and with the current engine setup combined with e power.
Be sure we'll see this again and hopefully pretty much as it's presented here.
Maybe a 100'th anniversary thingy?
We can only hope, imagne this car inside a tunnel at 7000 rpm.
It would scare the shit out of anyone!

Design is good, just needs to be in one "individual" color and it would pop more.

The camera guy appear to be looking for the exhaust in the back until he found it on the side...

The way the M3/M4 should have sounded. Really really good. Also those wheels are amazing can a vendor make a replica? Those will def sell.

Christ I want this car! Soooooooo much want here. Straight 6, twin turbo, and e-gear. Imagine if it was setup like the P1, with torque fill. This thing would be a riot to drive! Oh man, here's to hoping they make this thing.

Please BMW make this car!!!
 • Keep the wheels as they are here on this prototype. They're absolutely perfect.
 • $80k range as a starting point.
 • Use the m3/4 S55 water cooled turbo I6 for the heart.
 • Use an e-motor to add 50-100Hp at most - if the car is kept to around 3300lbs-3500lbs, this will be plenty fast.
 • Have the e-motor power the front wheels which will help with off the line acceleration.
 • Integrate a Carbon Fiber roll cage into the body shell.
 • 2+2 seating arrangement. Keep it semi practical like a 911 (small back seats for those times you have to transport kids or adults in a pinch)
 • Good use of CF around car to keep weight down - doesn't have to be quite as generous as the i3/8 but perhaps something like the new 7 series with the CF skeleton.
 • OLED tail lights and Laser Headlights STANDARD!
 • OLED interior mood lighting as STANDARD! (or just LED's if we must)
 • OPTIONAL Carbon Ceramic brake kit. Make sure this time they don't rub if rocks get up in there.
 • Work on getting the e-steering feel even better.
 • My gut tells me this would be an MDCT transmission only option to keep design costs down enough and allow this to start into the $80k price range.
 • If possible, keep those cool ass side cameras! Those look awesome.
 • Probably need read backup camera.
 • OPTIONAL: CSL Hommage R paint job (maybe give customer the option to leave out the #25).
 • OPTIONAL: Full Carbon Fiber Composite Front Seats for weight reduction.
 • OPTIONAL: Upgraded Electronics Pkg - includes LTE internal car WiFi, Bang&Olufsen Stereo etc.
 • Optional Luxury Pkg. - include whatever you guys want here - full leather dash, seats, remote garage controls, keyless entry and start etc...
 • GT3/GT2/GTS version ???

From this picture it looks like just a normal N55 engine. It does sound good though.

Sounds great.

The only things I don't like about the styling are:

1. The kidney grilles (because they don't harmonize with the rest of the front-end ensemble)
2. The front fender "upper vents" (because they add too much visual bulk)
3. The wheels (because of the excessively finicky styling and the color)

None of which can't be easily fixed.

Don't you like it how he lowers the camera to capture the exhaust in the back, only that the exhausts are on the sides? *giggles*

Not sure what you're doing here. Obviously the f80 sounds like shit!!! Other cars should only be described as sounding AS BAD AS the f80, or MUCH WORSE THAN the f80, ACTUALLY.

SMH man! Did you miss the 7:30 f80post hate train?!!
