Up Shined Up and Ready for Spring

Picked up my car on 3/18 and it literally snowed the following week. I did manage to get the 3M Pro film installed the day after I brought it home.

Over the last couple of weeks it's gotten progressively warmer in NE so I've been able to clean it a little at a time. Picked up the car fully wrapped in plastic from the factory.

My friend who did the 3M put some Ibex on it when he was done. So far 2 coats of Lusso Oro on top of that and 2 coats of Optimum spray wax.

man, part of me wishes I went with MG. currently very happy with my DSB....but still. beautiful color!

Thanks guys! I went back and forth on color for a while. At first I was going to go AW, then Silver and finally MG.

I saw another forum member post pix of a MG vert with Terra and the Orbit gray wheels...I was like

I knew that's the combo I wanted.

The waiting is tough but worth every second my friend.

I absolutely agonized over the options on this car for close to a year and half and I couldn't be happier with what I got.

I think the MG with the Orbit gray really compliment each other. They're not quite the same color but enough that people will mistake them for matching the car. The rear diffuser is the same way, it almost looked body color because the color is so close.

One thing that does stick out is the damn mirror covers. I don't know what BMW was thinking there. The one part that matches nothing on the car.

Just ordered the gloss black grilles from Tischer next is going to be the carbon fiber mirror caps. After that I think I'm done.
