For MY 2015, at least in Canada, the new standard is performance RFTs (18x7.5, 225/40 R18 front and 18x8.0, 245/35 R18 rear), with both performance non-RFTs and A/S as no-cost options.

I've ordered my car with the standard performance RFTs, but I still have time to change my order. I absolutely don't want A/S, but I'm wondering if someone can offer some thoughts on whether to stick with the performance RFTs or switch to the non-RFTs. The car will be a DD, with a fair bit of highway/out of town driving, and I have no plans to track it. Excuse the cluelessness, but this would be my first car with RFTs.

Thanks in advance.
Runflats suck. They have hard sidewalls and react accordingly - at least the first set on my 135 did.

The PS2s on my 235 lasted 9467 miles before I had to replace them. Great tires, but far and away the shortest life for a set that I have ever owned.

Just depends on how you want the car to feel whilst driving it.

I'm averaging about 21.9 combined, and that is mostly highway though ... This is on a 2015 xdrive w/ 6700 miles.

It helps to use cruise control in eco mode on the highway.. Then i use comfort or sport on the highway.

I thought they were PS2s ? Maybe not - whatever they were, yep - less than 10k and had to be replaced.

The shop said I might have been able to squeeze another 1500-2000 miles out of the fronts but I just placed all four.

99% of my miles have been in Sport +. It's the only mode that's tolerable on this car to me.

Lol if you can only drive this car on Sport+ you have issues and a lead foot.

I can confirm, illuminated door handles are a standard 2015 feature and don't require any options on the US model of the m235i.
