When my brakes are due upgrading to slotted/drilled OEM rotors - should be a few hundred extra totally worth it.

Sounds like a common want, lol.. I'll be doing the same but with the F30 Blue M calipers and the 370mm perf. rotors when it comes time. For the little cost on those calipers used, it just makes the most sense considering what my intentions are with the car. Most likely my project for next winter is to acquire everything to button this car up. I'm just excited to be back in the car altogether. I've been driving a 2wd Dakota, and it's a great way to appreciate what you have! Lets just leave it at that....

I didn't do anything to it, but I rode shotgun in the bucking bronco in a church parking lot (taught my lady how to drive manual). First 30 minutes was a little rough, but she got the hang of it! Now she might want take my car for a spin...

On Saturday, I took this off and drove it home to my own garage. It had been in hibernation since Thanksgiving. 4 months is so long. I'm starting to rethink the store-it-for-winter strategy.

4 months? Try 6 months!! FFS, I'm burning a hole in my card holder as I sit behind the glass and watch the snow continue to fall! Buying aimless parts just to satisfy the inner car guy.. Only so much you can do, I couldn't winter drive here with this car if I wanted to. Even at stock height, no front spoiler and AWD, the front end would take such a beating from overall ground clearance issues, stones flying off of oncoming traffic and cars ahead of you, it's just not worth it. I'd spend a minimum of $1-2k annually just to refinish my front end, new windshield, the list goes on. For that cost, I purchased and insure my winter truck instead. Saves some km's and most importantly the car stays mint, longer. It's a bit sad because winter driving here can be a total blast.

Time for an old 90 Quattro with rear locking diff, hey?!

Now you'll have several months to ponder the store-it-for-winter strategy. It's not a collector car appreciating in value and honestly when you go to sell it some day you just might convince the buyer to pay a $500-1000 premium because it wasn't driven in the winter. Get some winter tires and drive it year round. You'll be glad you did.

You're 100% right. I talked to several dealerships this winter about possibly trading it, one of them a BMW dealer on an M2 trade. The fact that it was never driven in winter (or even in rain) didn't matter at all. The value depreciates as fast or faster than any other car I've ever owned.

18x8.5 all around.

Here's a side picture I had on my phone, but it's of the rear wheel I think.

I'll get you a picture of the front tomorrow.

They have an offset of 40, yes. I'm on the stock suspension with no spacers. It's tight but nothing rubs

Launched it for the first time after getting Dinan Stage 2 installed. Doing so while severely congested from a head cold was a BAD idea. Gave myself what my doctor classified as a "grey out" which is basically the first phase of blackout. My response of "awesome" resulted in him calling my father (they're buddies) to try and smack some sense into me.
