An M2 appeals to me greatly.. smaller, hopefully lighter, more nimble car with 6mt. If the M2 doesn't pan out the way it should, I might pick up a used e92 M3 in a year or so.
If I get an F80, that's literally how I would order it, but in Austin Yellow. Especially now that HK and CA are standard.

Hehe, they were pretty nice cars back in the days. Just sold my F30 so the 855 is my DD until the M2 arrives... The months won't go fast but boy will the M2 be an upgrade.

The M2 is going to sound awesome, well, unless they surprise us and throw the S55 under the hood...then it will sound like farts...

Exactly! I had full leather and exec specc'd in my build and now after having only extended leather I realize how much I don't care about it. If I had an M5/M6 then sure full leather would be a must but for the M3, I'd prefer it in a more playful guise. My only must have options are LEDs and 6mt. I do really enjoy the adaptive suspension so it'd be a debate on whether I'd spec it again or go coil-overs.

Same here! If i were to order the F80 it would be a stripper YMB like you described.

M2 sounds appealing to me also, especially after realizing the M3/4 may have too much power for me to actually have fun in.

I know people will laugh at the fact that I say this. But I really think so. That's also why I don't have huge interest in supercharging my E92 M3. Where are you going to use that kind of power on the streets? Then you add the fact that it's a bigger car than I need, and an M2 just makes more sense for me personally,

If BMW makes an M2 Gran Coupe, it would more or less kill off the F80 for me. The only reason I'm considering is because it would be nice to have a 4 door.

Since you're in SC, are you planning to pick up the car at the PDC? I've done that three times and it's the next best thing to ED.

Most likely . Considered doing ED for a long time, but I've essentially done that trip in a rental car many times already. Just depends on my work schedule when it's time to pull the trigger on the M2.
I've done a couple of events at the PC and always had a blast.

I'll be replacing my 2002 Acura RSX Type-S. Got it brand new from the dealership way back. Going to miss it but It's been 15 years. It will be going to my 65 year old pops...big spoiler and all.

My beloved N55 135i 6MT.

I ordered my personalized plates over 2 years ago, as soon as specs on the M2 were confirmed - "2ND N55", so whenever I look at it, it will remind me of my 135i.

Now just waiting for an allocation!!!

Looks like we have a few GT3, M2 owners or future owners here, interesting.

I'd like to be a future GT3 owner. Just gotta figure out how to win the lottery first.

It's cheaper to buy one now than in the future.

I'm replacing my 2016 STI Limited with 2,300 miles on it. Benched it while I was deciding whether to buy the M2 or Focus RS as the new part time DD.

It will sort of sometimes replace my E46 330 ZHP as a daily but probably not. Not really sure what I'm doing with this M2 since I have a track car also. One thing is for sure it's not replacing the F80 M3!

Yeah, that's true but not an important detail if my income/wealth grow faster than the price of the GT3. :P

My biggest issue is that I don't have a three car garage and, thus, to get a GT3 would also require moving and that's where the lottery part comes in.

2012 Audi S4 6MT which other than being a little chunky was an awesome car. The interior, trim, seats and stereo will be a definite downgrade from the S4 to the M2. the drive and feel and ease to slideways will be an upgrade
