M235i on da block
First one I've seen for private sale: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/4581093864.html
I think its $2-3K too much since you can get a new one with similar options for around $50K |

Wow, so soon.
But then, my local BMW dealer offered me a nearly new M3 while I was waiting for the M235i to arrive. Story was that the M3 belonged to Sergeant Major at a nearby Army base and was unexpectedly transferred to BFE or something. Couldn't take the car with him.

Like most people who try to sell their car privately this dude has no clue as to the market value of his or her car. This listing is hilarious and the only reason someone would buy this for that much money is either because of ignorance, or because the allocations for a new one are low and they are desperate.
This listing will sit here for a few weeks or months until the seller comes back to reality and is exhausted his attempts to sell it. He or she will drop the price considerably $7,000+ or he/she will sell it to carmax or to another buy here car buying company. There is only one thing that really moves these cars in the market and that's the price.

Just for shits and giggles I looked for a manual 235i in San Fran where the car is listed and only got one hit:
http://************/mpgf2n3 at $55,000 to get MSRP List you have to go 228 miles If the 55k is realistic, a 20% off the lot depreciation would mean 45k is the real value. So my take is either he does not want to sell, or thinks he has something more valuable than it is. Look at the language in the ad, "considered brand new with 2450 miles on it" I don't think so, and "is considered a purest sports car" by whom? Its sporty but not a sports car. He also added $800 in extras, if the dealer installed he probably paid $52-$54 for the car (or more if the San Fran 55k is firm and people bite), thus his pricing. I wish him well, since it only helps us down the road if the car pulls a 1m!

There are at least 5-8 available regularly...but not if you want 6MT. There was one available last month at BMW of Escondido, which i almost bought until my dealer called with an allocation. I ordered mine 6/9 (should be here 8/12) so i could have my color choice - MW.
