I installed the HK door midrange and tweeters on the HiFi system for fun, not impressed. Tweeters have harsh highs, very fatiguing but it does look better than the blanks. The full HK surround isn't worth it, neither system sounds great. Sadly, my Mazda's Bose system blows them both away. I see why a lot of guys go with aftermarket, i.e. Eton/Bavsound.

Depends how much you pay , I think I paid under $200 for all of the HK stuff and for that the marginal improvement and actually having tweeters instead the blank plates is worth it, that being said I'm looking into aftermarket stuff to replace the HKs lol

FACTS I've heard the Bose in the Mazda 3 and yes sadly it is a bit better than my HK system lol. Really surprised me how nice the Bose sounded. The HK is decent but nothing to write home about, I can live with it. I can't imagine getting stock speakers on a 2er though ugh it must be awful.
