Yeah, my co-worker has a cousin who works at Fairfax and only hear horrible things about that place. Sterling was my first stop, but I didn't really like the sales rep who was dealing with me. 2 days later, I ended up at Alexandria and was out the door with an order in 30 minutes. I bought my 135i in Vegas and looked all over the country for the best deals for a M235i. Most were in the New England area, which was fine for me since my girlfriend is from there and we go quite a bit. So I used that as a bargaining chip to establish a relationship with a local dealer to get them to meet me on a price I was happy with. |

That being said, I definitely won't be recommending BMW of Sterling to family and friends. Most people I know won't be looking to order, or be in my position where they want a car built to their own specifications, and want it before summer is over, so typically the cars on the dealers lot will fit their needs/wants. I'm glad you were able to make it work at BMW of Alexandria. I should've tried their as well, but I live in Aldie, so my laziness ultimately won over. |

Yeah, DC metro area will make you lazy haha. By the way, I also ordered an Estoril Blue with all the same things except Terra dakota leather and no tech package.

Awesome. I've only seen Estoril Blue on a 335i but really loved the look of it, and is actually the main reason I decided to order. They had one exactly how I ordered mine at Sterling but it was Mineral Gray. While it's a nice color, I just want something brighter for once. My last cars have been black and gray. Nice choice on the interior, I almost changed my mind to get Coral Red at the last minute, but couldn't bring myself to do it. Had a gray interior been an option, I would've been all over it. Any idea when you might be getting your M235i?

Thanks man. I know you're pumped! I just called again and the automated response says my car is being transported to the port of exit. It seems like things are moving insanely quick, even though the wait is still terrible haha. They said the car went into production last Wednesday, and most people say that their cars were in production for over a week. Either way, hopefully they get it on a ship and on its way over. I didn't get any port installed accessories so hopefully there's no hold up there. I also have the CF mirror caps and black grilles waiting at home. Things are looking up!

I received also an update on my M235i. The production has being completed and the vehicle was handle over to the carrier for transport to port of exit. Looks like our M235i's are going to be sharing a boat.

I'm 100% sure I'll get the Michelin PSS and I see the same thing as you on myBMW site. What I don't know is if the RFT would show up there or not though. Can anyone that got the RFT check and reply?

Well that's slightly reassuring. I also got the aluminum hexagon interior trim with estoril blue matte trim finishers and that doesn't show up on the tracking page either so maybe it just omits anything that's typically standard. |

Mine shows the brushed alum trim and the highlight trim. I'm guessing yours doesn't show up because it's the default (as you said).

Ah okay. I took a look at the shipping company's website and it looks like one leaves for Baltimore every week. I may have this way sooner than I thought.

Which shipping line did you looked at. Here is where I checked and there are two carriers leaving next week for the USA, East coast, You are correct, it takes a few more days before my M235i arrives at port after yours have being delivered.

Excited for you and congrats on your car. I picked the same estriol blue and I think it's an awesome color.
I just found out that my car will be on the INDEPENDENCE II leaving 06/24/2014 arriving 07/14/2014. Not sure how long it will take to get to PCD in SC but it's exciting to know which ship it will be on Be sure to post picks of all the mods you're going to add on yours.
