This is all part of the big push towards VR that will be happening next year with the launch of the Oculus Rift.
I've already gotten to watch some 8k 360deg footage in VR and it's pretty freaking awesome - is really going to change how we start to consume content. Horror movies will probably start to give people legitimate heart attacks.
