Encore Delivery
I had my "Encore Delivery" service with my BMW dealer today. I didn't know this service existed until last week when I got a call from my dealer. According to the rep today, this "Encore Delivery" service is required by BMW Corporate.
The rep went down a detailed list of features in the car, stopping at each point and asking if I had any questions or comments. I had a few here and there and the responses revealed that the rep had good knowledge about my car. Also, I did mention to the rep that the BMW Assist feature had not been activated, so that oversight was promptly corrected. Meanwhile, the crew took my car out back and washed and cleaned it, inside and out. Later, the rep filled the car with gas. All and all, a very nice experience.

Wow, impressive. Never heard about this...but then again I haven't gotten any of the gifts in the mail others have either.

I should also mention that the call from my dealer came not quite 3 months after purchase. I now have just over 3000 miles on the car.

I got my encore delivery at the time of delivery. Though I have gotten the same speech with my one series delivery.

That's pretty much how every new car delivery I've ever had has gone. What's special about encore delivery?

Certainly many, if not most folks will have some questions and/or concerns about their ride after 3 months with the car. Why not accept the free 30 minute to 1 hour meeting to go over things? The least you'll get is a free wash job and a full tank of gas. In my case, some features were clarified, BMW Assist got activated, plus a couple of tidbits I so far had missed. Frankly, I appreciated the personal followup from BMW. For those of you who really have your car wired, well, I guess you could skip it. I just appreciate the outreach from my dealer and BMW.

My SA still calls my every few weeks to check how the car is doing and if I need to go over anything, or need any help whatsoever. Mine wasn't "Encore" though, it was just a regular delivery. |
