The GTS is nice if you want manual and a great performing vehicle but i feel the Cayman GT4 is the better car. Last edited by gtr; 12-17-2014 at 01:25 PM.. |

I love my Cayman S, it's a nice car, but it not the visceral machine that the 911 GTS / S is. There's just something about the way the ass end of the car feels right before it's ready to give way - makes you want to press the pedal harder LOL. The Cayman doesn't do that, it's either sticks like glue or understeers at inconvenient times We'll see when the GT4 comes out, but I still don't believe that Porsche is going to take the thunder away from their flagship. IMO Best case scenario is the GT4 = 911 GTS |

Porsche GT cars are amazing. I'm predicting that it will be like a mid engine GT3 with a manual trans and less hp to slow it down. It wouldn't surprise me if they did change the suspension for this ride and it'll probably be awesome and hard to buy. Just like my M3 maybe faster than the 1m but it wouldn't surprise me if the 1m driver better. |

A slower, mid engine GT3 would be nothing like a GT3, right? |

A loaded hyundai SNOTa has more crap than a 528 AND costs over 10k less. Insane automobile world we live in.

The car is massive. Like old 6 series kind of big. I have 0 desire for that kind of car at the moment so the Mustang went off the list as soon as I sat in one. Didn't even bother test driving. Pretty much what happened to me:

^ I wish Ford had a 1M-sized mini-Mustang on the market. Consider that from the driver's seat the C7 feels like a very large car, with the front end terminating somewhere off-planet - and it's still almost a foot shorter than the new Mustang. I have yet to sit in the new Mustang but the 2014 flavour felt ridiculously big (and it's got a nasty front-overhang problem to boot).

Seriously, you could buy a used e46 for the cost of the first maintenance on that thing. And actually there is a surprising amount of room in the back.

And a few more with the F-car resale value hit.

I think it needs at least 400hp, needs to be lighter than the m235I, carbon fiber roof, needs heads up display. If not id rather buy something else.

I think each new performance model should benefit from the latest available weight savings and safety technology.
Instead, BMW will bitch out and give us a slightly better M235i as to not jeopardize it's bigger siblings. A lack of a bespoke engine is a big deal. High starting price is a big deal. Lack of standard cloth or alcantara seats is a big deal. Let's hope we are not terribly disappointed, just disappointed... |

Id have to guess a 52k starting price but with less options.
If it doesn't have a CF roof thats alright but understandable If it doesn't have DCT then BMW is shooting them selves in the foot It should at the least have heated seats or navi standard (m3/4 do over their series counterparts) Id bet HP in the 375 range to differentiate from the m3/4 I also bet it will have heads up display. Honestly, BMW could go either way with this. Either they will make a decently priced car that is enthusiast/performance driven orr they come out with a slightly better optioned m235i and call it a day. |

There should be a "performance" trim with further weight reductions. Those of us that will DD the car do need some creature comforts. I'm going fully loaded and would love to have heated AND ventilated seats + heated steering. |

BMW could satisfy all by offering two types of M2:
