Just ordered my first BMW!

Well guys I just ordered my first bmw. I've always had a fascination with owning a European car, but never quite had the funds or willingness to stray from cheaper more reliable (hopefully not the case) Japanese cars. I was about to pull the trigger on a 2012 E92 M3 6speed with competition package but decided last minute to go ahead with a new 2016 m235i 6spd. I feel good about my decision and hope I got a good deal on my order since no manual transmissions seem to exist in texas!

MSRP - 46,995
Only options I opted for were enhanced bluetooth/USB and parking assist/back up camera. I figured the sensatec was good enough for me based on what I've researched.

I paid 42,995. I think I got the car at or below dealer invoice. Is everybody else getting this kind of deal on an ordered bmw?

Thanks for listening

If I did the math right, you got an 8.5% discount. Sounds like a good deal to me.

I ordered mine almost a year ago, shopped around at 3 different dealers, used Consumer Reports Car Buying Service (truecar.com), and the best I could do was a 6% discount.

It was also my first BMW, but I came from a bunch of U.S. muscle cars instead of Japanese cars. Either way, pretty sure you'll like the upgrade! When do you expect delivery?

it's best to negotiate a "drive off" price. some dealers will make back a large discount with b/s add-ons: like NITROGEN and DEALER PREP FEES! keep a close watch on the bottom line, when it comes time to sign.

Agree. Ordered mine on 10/30 and took delivery of it on 12/18 and agreed on a drive off price when ordering (actually got a better deal when taking delivery of the car as there was a new incentive as well as my employer's discount that I found out about).

Regardless, the amount off of MSRP does seem to be a very good deal.
