Just Ordered!

Went to the dealer last night and put the order in for a 2016 M235i xDrive!

Ended up going with these options:
-Estoril Blue Metallic
-Aluminum Trim w/ Estoril Blue Highlights
-Technology Package
-Drivers Assistance Package
-Heated Seats
-18" Orbit Grey 436 w/ All Seasons

Called today to upgrade to the Tech Package after all that I have read highly touting it on the forums and people regretting it. I regretted not ordering the iDrive in my 135i so I know the feeling. Figure its worth it to get the nav in a safe view as well as the upgraded screen.

My deal:
MSRP - $51,095
Sale Price - $48,683 (paid a bit more than some other dealers were offering but this is the best dealership in the area, no shady practices here)
Trade in for my 2012 135i w/ 17k - $25,000
9.5% Sales Tax (Thanks Chicago.)

Looking at $26,340 after all taxes, fees, etc and if I go the trade in route.

They are also putting me on the drive event for October which will give me another 1k off making the total price $25,340

Overall super happy with the price I got and cannot wait to get it!

edit: change the prices as I added heated seats just before production

I have seen plenty of threads on what people regret/don't regret getting, should I be thinking about anything else?

I think I will do the speakers with the Focals so I can skip the HK, and then regarding heated seats I basically drive from heated garage to heated garage so that might not be beneficial to me. Thoughts?

Congrats! One thing that others seem to recommend is opting for performance tires, with the intent of switching to a set of winter wheels for the colder months. This may be less important with xDrive, but it may still be worth considering since you're in Chicago.

If I drove more I would opt for the performance tires, but the convenience of not having to switch wheels twice a year makes me so happy haha. Went with the xDrive so I can escape two sets of wheels!

Honestly I did get through ~12 NJ winters in a FWD 2001 Maxima with crappy AS tires, so I think you'll be fine.

Honestly, I'd go with the cold weather package. It's cold in Chicago. I'm in New England and the one feature I have learned to love is the heated steering wheel. The package includes heated seats, heated wheel, and headlamp washers. At $500 for the heated seats and $700 for the full package, I think it's a no brainer.

The only reason I didn't do that is because I hate the headlight washers (have them on my 135). Everytime I use my windshield wipers for a quick rinse the headlight washers kick in and ruin my perfectly good wash. The steering wheel heat isn't worth the extra 200 for me since I would just code out the washers anyway.

Going with heated seats only also has the side benefit of not paying for a heated steering wheel if you plan on upgrading to an M Performance steering wheel at some point; you lose the feature if you do that.

Good point, didnt really think about that. I dont plan on upgrading the wheel anytime soon, but its a good thing to have in the back of mind.

Also, I dont really like the look of the headlight washer covers on the bumper. CWP is one I dont think I will regret.

In all honesty, the heated seats arent even for me, they are for my girlfriend. I personally hate them but am getting them for her and the resale value haha. I drive from heated garage to heated garage for my work commute, so day to day should be fine.

Dealer is always loose with their estimates so they originally said the end of October but I just looked and I am on a ship! Will get to Baltimore on Nov 2, so hopefully I will have it soon thereafter!

Where did you find the dual slat grilles? I've found a few sets online but have been concerned about the quality.

JBSpeed...they are a vendor on here. Really good quality!

IND also sells them, but only in Gloss Black I believe...I wanted Matte Black.
